DARPA (BTO): CoasterChase

CoasterChase seeks to understand whether stimulating neurons in the enteric nervous system (specifically the small intestine) can modulate the warfighter stress response under extreme conditions, improving training recall and decision-making in the moment and mitigating the development of PTSD in the long term
To investigate this hypothesis, the CoasterChase program aims to develop and implement a novel platform for real-time monitoring and modulation of peripheral neuropeptides underlying responses to acute stress.
