Call for research proposals for the study of Marine Protected areas in Israel

The INPA (רשות שמורות הטבע) seeks to fund research related to marine protected areas in Israel. It prioritize proposals addressing these topics, other topics related to the establishment, functioning, planning, management, and monitoring of marine reserves, will also be considered.

1. Basic and applied research on Marine Nature Reserves.
2. Characterizing New Habitats in the Israeli Mediterranean Sea.
3. Evaluating the effectiveness of the selective removal of lionfish (Pterois miles) and sea urchin (Diadema setosum) in Israel's marine nature reserves

Funding: Topic 1 500,000 NIS total, Topics 2 and 3 480,000 NIS total for each topic.
