CDMRP Epilepsy Research Program: Idea Development Award

The intent of the ERP IDA is to solicit novel, innovative research that has the potential to increase our understanding of post-traumatic epilepsy to improve quality of life, especially in Service Members, Veterans, and/or their care partners. The work should innovatively challenge existing research paradigms or exhibit high levels of creativity.

2024 focus areas are: 
• Markers and Mechanisms
• Epidemiology
• Longitudinal Studies
• Innovative Research

The FY24 IDA offers two levels of funding: 

Funding Level I: Pathway to Independence: early-career investigators (post-doc or other below assistant professor)

Funding Level II: Innovative New Direction Option: PIs at or above the level of assistant professor

It is expected that 5 awards will be granted.

Funding: Level 1 $450,000 total; Level 2 $650,000 total
