Misophonia research

The scientific focus of misophonia proposals shall address one or more of the following three broad focus areas in humans or relevant research models:

(1) Research to characterize misophonia, including exploring its expression, natural history, or development through interdisciplinary characterization;

(2) Development of diagnostic tools to facilitate rapid, physiologically-relevant, and non-invasive assessment;

(3) Clinical and/or model studies of specific interventions, including studies investigating comparative effectiveness, novel treatments, and controlled trials of promising treatments.
