CDMRP Epilepsy Research Program: Leveraging Research Award

The intent of the LRA is to leverage ongoing or completed research studies for which PTE was not an original focus and to provide support to expand the research to develop such a focus and increase our understanding of PTE. The project may include basic, translational, and/or clinical research studies. The proposed project should not detract from the primary aims of the parent study; rather, it should complement the study by enriching the research that may be performed. 

Applications should be relevant to the 2026 focus areas: 

• Markers and Mechanisms of PTE (Post- Traumatic Epilepsy) 
• Epidemiological Characterization of PTE
• Longitudinal Studies of PTE Progression
• Innovative Research Tools and Technologies

It is expected that 2 awards will be granted this year. 

Please note only one (1) application per PI is allowed

Funding: $800,000 total
