CDMRP Prostate Cancer Research Program: Idea Development Award

he Idea Development Award supports new ideas that represent innovative approaches to prostate cancer research and have the potential to make an important contribution to the PCRP mission. This mechanism offers separate awards for established investigators and for new investigators (3 years postdoctoral term or 10 years from terminal degree).

FY26 PCRP Overarching Challenges:

• Improve overall health, wellness and survivorship for those impacted by prostate cancer
• Develop new treatments or improve upon existing therapies to improve outcomes for patients with lethal prostate cancer
• Enhance clinical care for all patients with prostate cancer
• Define the biology of prostate cancer progression to lethal prostate cancer to reduce death

Funding: $1,700,000 total; $2,100,000 total for New Investigator
Duration: 3 years

It is expected that 8 awards will be granted.
