תיאור

The vision of the TERP is to improve the health and quality of life and mitigate risks for those impacted by military-related toxic exposures.

The intent of the Translational Research Award is to support translational research that will accelerate the movement of promising ideas in military-related toxic exposure research into clinical applications, including health care products, interventions, technologies, and/or clinical practice guidelines.

 

2026 topic areas include: 

TOPIC AREA 1: Neurotoxin Exposure

TOPIC AREA 2: Gulf War Illness (GWI) and Its Treatment

TOPIC AREA 3: Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits

TOPIC AREA 4: Other Military Service-Related Toxic Exposures (Prophylactic Medications, Groundwater Contamination, Pesticides, Organophosphates, Toxic Industrial Chemicals, Materials, Metals, and Minerals) 

 

Applications must address at least one of the FY26 TERP Topic Areas.

 

The translational award is intended to support translational research that will accelerate the movement of promising ideas in toxic exposure research into clinical applications including health care products, interventions, technologies, and/or clinical practice guidelines.

 

 

It is expected that 4 awards will be granted. 

 

 

Funding: $1,500,000 total

Duration: 3 years 

 

 

Research Authority due date: 12.8.26

Pre application (required) due date: 19.8.26

Full proposal due date: 19.11.26
