CDMRP Melanoma Research Program: Melanoma Academy Scholar Award

The Melanoma Academy is a virtual career development and research platform that consists of Scholars and their Career Guides (primary mentors) from different institutions, and an Academy Director and Deputy Director.

PI of the Scholar award must be an early-career researcher or physician-scientist, 7 years from obtaining their first faculty-level appointment. Each scholar must designate a career guide (may be at a different institution). 

Applicants must demonstrate that is relevant to the health care needs of Service Members, Veterans, and/or their Families. This can be done via Use of military or Veteran populations, biospecimens, data, databases, or programs in the proposed research; cooperation with DoW  investigators and other federal agencies (highly encouraged); explanation of how the project addresses an aspect of melanoma that has relevance or is unique to Service Members, Veterans, and/or their Families.

It is expected that 2 award will be granted.
