CDMRP Tick-Borne Disease Research program: Idea Development Award

The Idea Development Award is intended to support conceptually innovative research that could lead to impactful discoveries or significant advancements that will accelerate progress toward reducing the burden of Lyme disease and/or other tick-borne diseases and conditions. 

Idea Development Award applications must respond to at least one of the following specific FY26 TBDRP Idea Development Award Focus Areas:

• Pathogenesis
• Treatment
• Diagnosis
   

Particularly encouraged are applications focused on persistent Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases and conditions endemic to the United States.
 

A Career Development Option is available to eligible early-career investigators ( up to 10 years from terminal degree) 

It is expected that three (3) IDA awards and two (2) early career award will be granted.

Funding: $800,000 total for IDA, $550,000 total for early career award

Duration: 3 years
