PRIMA will promote efforts to enhance sustainable production and consumption practices respecting people’s nutritional needs and environment, but also foster the adoption of an integrated resource-use approach in the Mediterranean Region considering the interconnections (Nexus) among Water, Energy, Food and Ecosystems (WEFE).

Topics for 2026:

Thematic Area 1-Water Management in the Nexus

Leveraging Ecosystem Functions and Enhancing Water Allocation for the Protection and Restoration of Non-Perennial Watercourses in the Mediterranean

Thematic Area 2-Farming Systems in the Nexus:

Novel remote and non-invasive ICT monitoring and control systems against disease and pest infestation

Thematic Area 3-  Agri-Food Value Chain:

Empowering Mediterranean Food Value Chains through Context-Aware Digital Traceability

Teams should include at least 3 countries and 4 to 6 participants. See Attached document for details. 

MOST is expected to award 3 grants total. 

Funding: €100,000 total for Israeli partner

Duration: 3 years
