National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST): Precision Measurement Grant Program (PMGP)

NIST sponsors research projects primarily to encourage basic, measurement-related research. The PMGP also is intended to make it possible for researchers to pursue new ideas for which other sources of support may be difficult to find.

Emphasis on pressing problems or emerging opportunities:

a. Developing a new or an improved fundamental measurement method or a physical standard.

b. Testing the basic laws of physics; and/or

c. Providing an improved value for a fundamental constant

It is expected that one (1) award will be granted. 

Funding: $50,000 per year
