Crazy 8 Initiative Award

The Crazy 8 Initiative Award will fund research into innovative and rigorous approaches that directly address the most intractable issues in pediatric cancer research today. 

In 2025, ALSF Crazy 8 Initiative will focus on more efficacious and less toxic treatments for pediatric brain tumors.

This years topics are:

• Novel targeted therapy discovery and development.

• The uncovering of cutting-edge technologies that enhance drug penetration of the blood-brain barrier.

• Creating and utilizing novel preclinical models that inform clinical studies.

• Identifying and incorporating methods to reduce the toxicity of novel and existing therapies.

Applications are welcome from a consortium of two or more institutions with different areas of research collaborating to integrate their expertise.

Funding: $3,000,000- $5,000,000 total
