CDMRP Toxic Exposures Research Program: Investigator-Initiated Research Award

The vision of the TERP is to minimize and mitigate the impact of military-relevant toxic exposures and improve the quality of life of those affected.

The investigator award is intended to support studies that will make an important contribution toward research and/or patient care for a disease or condition related to toxic exposures.

2025 topic areas include: 

TA1: Neurotoxin Exposure

TA2: Gulf War Illness (GWI) and Its Treatment

TA3: Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits

TA4: Other Military Service-Related Toxic Exposures (Prophylactic Medications, Pesticides, Organophosphates, Toxic Industrial Chemicals, Materials, Metals).

Applications must address at least one of the FY25 TERP Topic Areas.

It is expected that 5 awards will be granted. 

Funding: $770,000 total 

Duration: 3 years
