GIF Nexus: Collaborative Grants and Young Investigator Grants

GIF's new flagship program offers a single unified program to fund young scientists and established researchers in parallel tracks. 

Collaborative track:

• At least one principal investigator from both Israel and Germany
• Maximum project duration: 2 years
• Maximum budget: EUR 150,000 total for all PIs per year (i.e. maximum project budget EUR 300,000 for 2 years)

Solo track for young investigators:

• Principal investigator maximum 8 years after doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DVM or equivalent) at grant starting date.
• Maximum project duration: 1 year
• Maximum budget: EUR 25,000

This years' topics: 

1. STEM: Quantum Computing
2. Social Sciences/ Humanities: The Future of Democracy and Social Inequities

It is expected that 6-7 grants will be awarded.
