The SPS Programme seeks to enhance cooperation and dialogue with all partners through civil science and innovation. The programme offers grants for collaborative research and development projects, workshops, institutes, and training involving scientists from NATO nations and partner countries.

Priority areas include: 

  1. Environment, Climate Change and
  2. Energy
  3. Innovation and Emerging Disruptive Technologies (EDTs
  4. Counter-terrorism
  5. Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) and Explosive Hazards
  6. Defense against Hybrid
  7. Resilience
  8. Critical Underwater
  9. Cyber Defense
  10. Assessing and addressing threats posed by the Russian Federation
  11. Strategic
  12. Human and Social Aspects of
  13. Operational
  14. Other

 

Funding: No fixed limit (usually between €250,000 and €400,000 total)
Duration: 3 years

 

Project must be submitted with a partner in a NATO country.
