Neurosciences and mental health research: research grant: responsive mode

MRC is looking to fund research into neurosciences and mental health.

The Neurosciences and Mental Health Board funds research in:

• neurosciences
• mental health
• disorders of the human nervous system

This call aims to transform our understanding of the physiology and behaviour of the human nervous system throughout the life course in health and in illness, as well as how to treat and prevent disorders of the brain.

The research includes the interactions between the nervous system and other parts of the body, the brain, mental health and physical health. We are also interested in how episodes throughout life impact on lifelong mental and neurological health.

PI must be located at a British Institution. 

The total costs requested for international applicants from developed countries (i.e. Israel) must not exceed 30% of the total resources requested.

Funding: no fixed limit 

Duration: 5 years
