| תיאור | The Patient Well-Being and Survivorship Award (PWSA) supports innovative research studies to advance studies in preservation of function (physical ability), quality of life, symptom management, resilience, relief from neurocognitive deficits, and support for psychosocial issues related to cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Applications must address at least one of the Topic Areas listed below: • Bladder cancer • Blood cancers • Brain cancer • Colorectal cancer • Endometrial cancer • Esophageal cancer • Germ cell cancers • Liver cancer • Lymphoma • Mesothelioma • Metastatic cancers • Myeloma • Neuroblastoma • Pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancers • Pediatric brain tumors • Stomach cancer • Sarcoma • Thyroid cancer
Applications must also address at least one of the FY24 PRCRP Military Relevance Focus Areas: • Environmental/exposure risk factors associated with cancer • Mission readiness and gaps in cancer research
Investigators are strongly encouraged to collaborate, integrate, and/or align their research projects with Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) research laboratories and programs.
It is expected that six (6) awards will be granted.
