CDMRP Rare Cancers Research Program Resource Community Development Award

The Rare Cancers Research Program's vision is to greatly improve outcomes for people with rare cancers through discovery, community building, and expansion of knowledge across the cancer landscape.

Applications to the Resource and Community Development Award (RCDA) must develop platforms (such as tumor tissue repositories with clinical annotation, centralized databanks, patient registries with common data structure, research models, “Omics” databases and longitudinal studies of natural history and treatment response) for type(s) or sub-type(s) of rare cancers to allow sharing of data, bio-specimens and resources.

It is expected that five (5) awards will be granted. 

Funding: $800,000

Duration: 4 years
