Request for Proposals: Focused Ultrasound and ALS Research

The Focused Ultrasound Foundation and The ALS Association is issuing this RFP with the goal of advancing the development of new focused ultrasound applications for the treatment and diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). 

Research Area #1: Focused Ultrasound and Blood-Brain Barrier Opening (BBBO) 

Research Area #2: Focused Ultrasound and Neuromodulation (NM)

The project must be collaborative and require a team of at least one focused ultrasound researcher and one ALS expert.

Funding: Pre clinical research $200,000 total; Clinical research $600,000 total 

Duration:  Pre clinical research 2 years; Clinical research 3 years
