Research Grants

The Barth Syndrome Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of funding for research on the natural history, biochemical basis, and treatment of Barth syndrome. Because many clinical and biochemical abnormalities of Barth syndrome remain poorly understood, the foundation seeks proposals for research that may shed light on any aspect of the syndrome, with the ultimate objective of developing a specific treatment or a cure. 

The foundation offers two tracks: 
- IDEA research grants: $50,000 total / 1-2 years 
- Development research grants: $100,000 total / 2-3 years
