CDMRP Prostate Cancer Research Program: Early Investigator Research Award (Postdoctoral)

The mission of the Program is to find and fund research that will lead to the elimination of death from prostate cancer and enhance the well-being of men experiencing the impact of the disease.

FY23 PCRP Overarching Challenges:

• Improve quality of life to enhance outcomes and overall health and wellness for those impacted by prostate cancer
• Develop treatments or improve upon existing therapies to improve outcomes for men with lethal prostate cancer
• Advance health equity and reduce disparities in prostate cancer
• Define the biology of prostate cancer progression to lethal prostate cancer to reduce death

The award primarily provides salary support for the Principal Investigator (PI)- the postdoctoral trainee is considered the PI of the application. The PI must exhibit strong potential and commitment to prostate cancer research; however, previous prostate cancer research experience is not required.

Applications must include at least one mentor.

It is expected that 15 awards will be granted.
