תיאור | The SCOPE program aims to demonstrate chemical process hardware that uses electron spin as a control variable for high-yield chemical synthesis and high enantiopurity separation to enable small-scale, distributed manufacturing of chemical and biological medical counter measures (MCMs). Phase 1 will focus on spin polarization, spin persistence length, and spin-polarized current to de-risk generation and transport of spin-polarized electrons. Phase 2 will mature the advances made in Phase 1, leading to a demonstration of synthesis and separation of target molecules to serve as a proof of concept for rapid transition and commercialization of SCOPE technology for a wide variety of DoD fine chemicals applications.
