OTCF research grants

The objective of OTCF grants is to encourage orthopedic trauma surgeons and basic scientists by providing seed funding for research in the field of orthopedic trauma surgery. The subjects targeted for 2023 applications are: 

· Improved research trial solutions for evidence based solutions to common orthopaedic trauma problems:

• Non-inferiority trials
• Economic analyses
• Prospective observational studies
• Real World Data: How to best utilize large data sets and registries

· Best practices for data sets:

• Outcome measures (for MDR/PROMIS)
• Financial information
• Utility for development of clinical care guidelines

Funding: $50,000
Duration: 2 years

Please note: a trauma or orthopedic surgeon must serve as either the principal or coprincipal investigator.
