תיאור

The DAC is the Army's foundation for data-driven analytical decisions across the lifecycle to ensure overmatch for a lethal Army. DAC’s mission is to: Inform Army modernization and readiness decisions with objective Analysis enabled through Tool development and Data curation.

The following DAC research topics appear in an designated website:

  • Methodologies and techniques to analyze assistive automation (AA) & artificial intelligence (AI) enabled systems
  • Scientific understanding and analytical methodology for multi-domain operations (MDO)
  • The science and analysis of systems of systems (SOS)
  • Analytical methodology for future army systems enabled by quantum technology (QUANTUM)
  • Artillery - hypersonics data and analysis
  • Network vulnerability and effects assessment methodology (N-VEAM)
  • Human-technology cooperation in defense command and control operations
  • Human-systems integration analysis – artificial intelligence/ machine learning for army system development and assessment
  • Human-systems integration analysis – augmented reality displays for enhanced crew situational awareness
  • Cybernetic systems (inferring human intent for seamless human-artificial intelligence interactions)
  • Humans in multi-agent systems
  • Human systems integration (HSI) modeling & analysis
  • Maneuver support and protection: preserving essential capabilities
  • Maneuver support and protection: deny enemy freedom of action
  • Maneuver support and protection: enable persistent access
  • Maneuver support and protection: understand the operation environment
  • Sustainment performance & mission success impacts
  • Reliability of alternative methods for energy generation and storage alternatives
  • Using neural networks to improve army forecasting
  • Using machine learning and open source big data platforms to enable prognostics and predictive maintenance
