2022 Thrive Initiative

he MPN Research Foundation (MPNRF) is announcing the 2022 Thrive Initiative, a research funding program focused on supporting and expanding MPN research that will catalyze significant discoveries towards a better understanding of and cures for patients challenged with the myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), myelofibrosis (MF), polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET).  

The Initiative offers 4 funding tracks: 

1. Follow on support award
   Preserve and advance existing promising MPN research that would otherwise languish.
   Funding: $100,000
   Duration: 1 year 
    
2. Junior investigator award
   For junior investigators to compete exclusively with their peers for an MPNRF grant
   Funding: $100,000 per year 
   Duration: 2 years 
    
3. New investigator with new ideas award
   Competitive funding environment for researchers new to the MPN field bringing novel ideas into MPN research.
   Funding: $100,000 per year 
   Duration: 2 years
    
4. Clinical translational research award
   Longer-term clinical-translational research projects
   Funding: $200,000 per year 
   Duration: 2 years
