DARPA: Microsystems Technology Office (MTO) BAA

MTO seeks to develop high-risk, high-reward technologies to create and prevent strategic surprise to secure the DoD's technological superiority and address the complex threats facing U.S. national security.

Research areas of current interest in MTO include the following thrust areas:

(1) Embedded Microsystem Intelligence and Localized Processing

(2) Next Generation Front-End Component Technologies for Electromagnetic (EM) Spectrum Dominance

(3) Microsystem Integration for Increased Functional Density and Security

(4) Disruptive Defense Microsystem Applications

Funding: No fixed limit (usually below $1,000,000)
Duration: 1 year (in rare cases longer)
