Enhancing Social Connectedness and Ameliorating Loneliness to Prevent and Treat SUD and Support Recovery (R34)

This grant encourages pilot work and preliminary research to support preparation for large-scale, rigorous trials examining strategies to address social connectedness and/or loneliness in order to prevent or treat SUDs or enhance recovery. The goal  is to develop user-centered interventions addressing social connectedness and loneliness in the context of substance use that are effective, practical, cost-effective, scalable, and sustainable.
