ABTA Discovery Grants

ABTA seeks applications from faculty who propose high-risk/high-impact projects with the potential to change current diagnostic or treatment paradigms for adult and pediatric brain tumor care.

The foundation seeks projects focused on all brain tumor types, benign or malignant, primary or secondary (metastatic), and that will have an impact on pediatric, adult, or both populations. Appropriate research projects include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

• Biomarkers of Risk, Disease Burden, and/or Treatment Response
• Brain Tumor Biology
• Clinical Research
• Diagnosis
• Drug Delivery
• Etiology
• Genetics
• Imaging
• Molecular/Genetic Epidemiology
• Novel Therapeutics
• Risk Assessment

Applicant must be no more than eight years from the start of the first faculty position at the start of the grant term (September 1, 2026).

Funding: $50,000

Duration: 1 year
