Radiobiology of High Linear Energy Transfer (High LET) Exposure in Cancer Treatment (R01)

NCI invites applications from research projects that have substantial potential to

1) to enhance the understanding of mechanisms related to high linear energy transfer (high LET) radiation effects in both cancer and normal tissues;

2) identify and characterize high LET effects that usefully inform treatment strategies for cancers resistant to conventional radiation and other combined modality treatments.

The proposed research projects are expected to be multidisciplinary
