CDMRP: Parkinson’s Research Program Investigator-Initiated Research Award

The PRP Investigator-Initiated Research Award supports highly rigorous, high-impact research projects that have the potential to make an important contribution to Parkinson’s disease research and/or patient care.

Investigators must address at least one of the following Focus Areas:
• Mechanisms of neuroplasticity in the Parkinson’s disease brain.
• Studies to identify gene-environment interactions in Parkinson’s disease cohorts.
• Pathophysiological implications of tau protein in Parkinson’s disease.

The Investigator-Initiated Research Award mechanism includes an option for up to three PIs.

Funding: $1,000,000 total ($2,500,000 for partnering option)

Duration: 3 years for single investigator, 4 years for partnering option
