Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) Research Grants

The PKD Foundation’s principal mission is to support basic, translational, and clinical research that will benefit patients with autosomal dominant and autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD and ARPKD).

Special consideration will be given to proposed research in the following areas:

• Autosomal Recessive PKD (ARPKD)
• ADPKD in children
• The role of cilia signaling in cyst development
• Drug delivery mechanisms
• Epidemiology/ data analysis (e.g., using existing datasets)
• Extra-renal manifestations of PKD
• Protein dosage or gene therapies
• Innovative approaches to machine learning
• Lifestyle interventions (e.g., in dietary habits)

Funding: $120,000 per year

Duration: 2 years
