Grand Challenges: Innovations for Exceptionally Low-Cost Monoclonal Antibody (mAb) Manufacturing

In order to improve mAb affordability in low- and middle-income countries, the Gates foundation seeks proposals that will enable us to reach a final drug substance cost-of-goods of $10 per gram. 

This Grand Challenge offers two funding tracks: 

Option A: Proof of Concept

Option B: Operationalization and Economic Viability

Funding:  Option A $750,000 total; Option B no fixed limit 

Duration: Option A 18 months; option B no fixed limit
