PRIMA will promote efforts to enhance sustainable production and consumption practices respecting people’s nutritional needs and environment, but also foster the adoption of an integrated resource-use approach in the Mediterranean Region considering the interconnections (Nexus) among Water, Energy, Food and Ecosystems (WEFE).

Topics for 2024:

Thematic Area 1-Water Management in the Nexus

Effective water accounting approaches under crisis conditions: climate change and external shocks.

Thematic Area 2-Farming Systems in the Nexus:

Revitalizing agroforestry practices for sustainable land use and climate resilience in the Mediterranean Region.

Thematic Area 3-Food Value Chain:

Leveraging urban and local food systems for sustainable food systems transformation

Teams should include at least 3 countries and 4 to 6 participants. See Attached document for details. 

MOST is expected to award 5 grants total. 

Funding: €100,000 total for Israeli partner

Duration: 3 years
