CDMRP Toxic Exposures Research Program: Investigator-Initiated Research Award

The vision of the TERP is to minimize and mitigate the impact of military-relevant toxic exposures and improve the quality of life of those affected.

The investigator award is intended to support studies that will make an important contribution toward research and/or patient care for a disease or condition related to toxic exposures.

2022 topic areas include: 

TOPIC AREA 1: Neurotoxin Exposure

TOPIC AREA 2: Gulf War Illness (GWI) and Its Treatment

TOPIC AREA 3: Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits

TOPIC AREA 4: Other Military Service-Related Toxic Exposures

Applications must address at least one of the FY22 TERP Topic Areas.

It is expected that 12 awards will be granted. 

Funding: $500,000 total 

Duration: 3 years
