CDMRP Reconstructive Transplant Research Program: Concept Award

The RTR program seeks vascularized composite allotransplantation (VCA)-focused research. VCA refers to the transplantation of multiple tissues such as muscle, bone, nerve, and skin, as a functional unit. 

The Concept Award aims to support the exploration of a highly innovative new concept or untested theory that addresses an important problem relevant to reconstructive transplantation and the Focus Areas delineated below: 

• Reduce the risks of VCA-associated immunosuppression

• Identify reliable non-invasive prognostic/diagnostic biomarkers, methods, or tools for monitoring VCA graft rejection
