The SPS Programme seeks to enhance cooperation and dialogue with all partners through civil science and innovation. The programme offers grants for collaborative research and development projects, workshops, institutes, and training involving scientists from NATO nations and partner countries.

Priority areas for 2022 are: 

1. SECURITY-RELATED ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

  • Quantum technologies:
  • Autonomous systems in all physical domains (ground, air, space and maritime)
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data
  • Biotechnology and human enhancement

2. CLIMATE CHANGE AND SECURITY

3. DEFENCE AGAINST CBRN AGENTS

4. RESILIENCE

 

Funding: No fixed limit
Duration: 3 years

 

Project must be submitted with a partner in a NATO country.
