2022 Lung and Respiratory Disease RFP

AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) supports basic science discovery and clinical research in the Lung & Respiratory Disease Research Program Area. This program area supports research that will enhance our understanding of the underlying pathophysiology of diseases that compromise respiratory function in dogs.

Research into molecular mechanisms that contribute to acute and chronic respiratory morbidity, the pathophysiology of disease, the genetic/epigenetic basis of disease and identification of potential therapeutic drugs that will treat or diminish the symptoms associated with disease are of interest. 

Funding: $15,000 (Acorn); $50,000 (Oak) total
