GIF Nexus: Collaborative Grants and Young Investigator Grants

GIF's new flagship program offers a single unified program to fund young scientists and established researchers in parallel tracks. 

Collaborative track:

• At least one principal investigator from both Israel and Germany
• Maximum project duration: 4 years
• Maximum budget: EUR 200,000 total for all PIs per year (i.e. maximum project budget EUR 800,000 for 4 years)

Solo track for young investigators:

• Principal investigator maximum 6 years after doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DVM or equivalent) at grant starting date.
• Maximum project duration: 1 year
• Maximum budget: EUR 25,000

This years' topics: 

- Life Sciences Interfaces: It is up to the applicants to determine what the interface is (e.g. big data, AI, physics, chemistry, engineering, ethics etc.)

- Scial Justice and Human Rights 

The total annual budget for this 2021 RFP is 2M Euro.
