Career Development Awards

Career Development Awards are aimed at assisting young faculty (1-3 years from first appiontment) in their efforts to forward their research into potential treatments and cures for the inherited orphan retinal degenerative diseases and dry age-related macular degeneration (dAMD).

Current Research Priority Areas are:
- Novel Medical Therapies (NMT)
- Gene Therapy (GT)
- Cell and Molecular Mechanisms of Retinal Disease (CMM)
- Genetics (GE)
- Clinical-Structure and Function (CL)
- Regenerative Medicine (RM)

Funding: $75,000 per year
Duration: 5 years
