CDMRP Epilepsy Research Program: Research Partnership Award

The intent of the ERP IDA is to solicit research to understand the magnitude and underlying mechanisms of post traumatic epilepsy, especially in Service members and Veterans while benefitting the civilian community. This Award aims to create an avenue for collaborative research partnerships between/among investigators. A minimum of 2 PI's is required. Applicants should demonstrate the study team’s experience in both TBI and epilepsy research.

2021 focus areas are: 

• Markers and Mechanisms (level 1)
• Epidemiology (level 1) 
• Longitudinal Studies (level 2) 

The FY21 Collaborative Award offers two levels of funding: 

Funding Level I: preclinical or pre-validation research

Funding Level II: research requiring access to a patient cohort for a prospective study

It is expected that 2 awards will be granted (1 for each level). 

Funding: Level 1 $1,300,000 total; Level 2 $3,100,000 total

Duration: Level 1 3 years; Level 2 4 years
