CDMRP Epilepsy Research Program: Idea Development Award

The intent of the ERP IDA is to solicit research to understand the magnitude and underlying mechanisms of post traumatic epilepsy, especially in Service members and Veterans while benefitting the civilian community.

2021 focus areas are: 

• Innovative Research
• Markers and Mechanisms
• Epidemiology
• Longitudinal Studies

The FY21 IDA offers two levels of funding: 

Funding Level I: early-career investigators (post-doc or other below assistant professor)

Funding Level II: PIs at or above the level of assistant professor

It is expected that 5 awards will be granted (2 for level 1 and 32 for level 2)

Funding: Level 1 $300,000 total; Level 2 $500,000 total

Duration: 3 years
