תיאור

The HRRP will fund innovative research that has the potential to maximize operational performance, medical readiness, and quality of life. All applications to this award must address research in the following Focus Area:

 

  • Develop or validate techniques/methods to assess, diagnose, or treat auditory dysfunction as related to synaptopathy, hidden hearing loss, and central auditory processing disorders. 
  • Accelerate translation of biological regeneration/repair mechanisms into therapies that restore auditory function. 
  • Develop reliable in-vitro human models for evaluating hearing restoration therapies
 
 
Two different funding levels are available under this Program Announcement:  
• Funding Level 1 supports exploratory, high-risk/high-reward research
• Funding Level 2 supports the advancement of more mature research toward clinical translation.

 

Funding:

Level 1: $250,000 total 

Level 2: $1,000,000 total (additional $250,000 for clinical trials) 

Duration:

Level 1: 2 years

Level 2: 3 years
