China - Israel Cooperation on Agricultural R and D Noah Ark Academy – Industry

The Ministry of Agriculture establishs a Chino-Israeli Joint Research Fund, to fund joint research programs by academy and industry teams from both countries. The programs will focus on applicative research programs that their proof of concept will be demonstrated in China as agreed by the parties. 

topics include: 

• Agri – Inputs and Machinery
• During – Growth
• Post – Harvest
• Dairy product technologies
• Microorganisms and Fermentation
• Health foods and healthy components

The program offers 2 tracks: 

Noah Ark Mature: will focus only on "Mature" know-how developed and licensed in the last 5-10 years by Israeli research institutes, to an Israeli business partner that is committed to implement the said technology in China. Projects will be performed by a Research Team. Research Team will be responsible for the demonstration and preforming a proof of concept of the said technology, in China, together with the Chinese business partner.

Noah Ark Young: will focus on research topics that need a period of 3 years of research before it can commercialized and implemented. However, these potential "young" technologies are already of interest to an Israeli business partner, which will, following the research period, implement the research results in China together with a Chines business partner.

Both tracks must have an Israeli business partner. 

Funding: 660,000 NIS (out of 900,000 NIS total project budget) 

Duration: 3 years
