Life? – A fresh scientific approach to the basic principles of life

This funding initiative aims to encourage projects that contribute to comprehending fundamental principles of life by working with systems resembling those of living ones or by exploring chemical and physical cellular processes. Funding can be made available for projects that link up most recent research from the interface between the natural and life sciences with the attempt to fundamental questions on life itself. This call for proposals also addresses methodic developments that may contribute to answering this question.

Projects may include up to 5 (international) partners, one of which must be from a German scientific Institution.
