NSF-BSF Program in Earth Sciences: Geobiology and Low-Temperature Geochemistry

Division of Earth Sciences (EAR) in the Directorate for Geosciences (GEO) of the NSF is inviting joit proposals for Israeli and American scientists in Earth Sciences .

The Geobiology and Low-Temperature Geochemistry Program focuses on geochemical processes in terrestrial Earth’s surface environmental systems, as well as the interaction of geochemical and biological processes. The program supports field, laboratory, theoretical, and modeling studies of these processes and related mechanisms at all spatial and temporal scales.

Funding: $80,000 per year for Israeli partner
Duration: No fixed limit (3-5 years as per NSF decision)

US scientist full proposal due to NSF on 1.2.17
Both partners to submit proposal to BSF on 7.2.17

This program has no official NSF deadline, but applications that will be submitted to the NSF later than Feb. 1, will be processed only starting in late 2017, and awarded a grant in mid-2018.
